Keesha Sharp

She can be seen in Tyler Perry's smash hit, Why Did I Get Married. Alongside Perry and Janet Jackson, as well as in the forthcoming independent films Frozen Peas and Born Guilty. Her other film credits includes The 636 (for which she was awarded Best Actress in 2014's NYLA International Film Festival), Shattered! Never Die Alone, American Adobo, and American Adobo. Cum Laude awarded Keesha a B.F.A. Keesha was inspired to go into acting after graduating from the Cum Laude Theatre School with the Bachelor in Fine Arts. She appeared in The Broadway National Tour of Carousel as well as debuted Off Broadway with Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. She also played eight characters in the humorous Eat the Runt. Other theatrical performances included Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Keesha read alongside playwright August Wilson himself. In addition to her work on the screen and stage, Keesha directed episodes of "Lethal Weapon", "Are We There Yet" and also the short film One Day, Lillian and Half Off. Keesha created Clean, The Brit & Broken Doll. She also has several original projects under development.
