Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette was an American actress, voice of film and television, born January 31 1937 and passed away January 19, 2008. Pleshette started her stage career and was in films by the late 1950s. Later, she was an actor of note in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Then, she was in many television productions and was frequently a guest actor. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978, in which she won several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on January 31, 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and choreographer who performed under her stage name of Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage director for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
