
Anthony David Gonzalez was born in Torrance, California on February 27th the year 1976. He was born in southern California. He attended Huntington Beach High School and was a top basketball and football player. Gonzalez was a star in both sports at the University of California. He helped lead the team in football into the 1996 Aloha Bowl, where he tied a school bowl record with nine receptions. Gonzalez then led the basketball team to Sweet 16 in the NCAA basketball tournament a few months later. Gonzalez then went to the NFL Draft in 1997. Gonzalez was selected as the 13th overall choice by the Kansas City Chiefs. Gonzalez was a player for the Chiefs between 1997 and 2008. The Chiefs traded Gonzalez to the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez never caught less than 59 passes in Gonzalez's second NFL season.
